Our Curious about Autism workshop is aimed at parents and carers who have a child that may have autism, and would like to learn more about autism through the wider lens of neurodiversity.
You may have just started considering autism or may be on the pathway to diagnosis and want to learn more about neurodevelopmental conditions.
Our session aims to provide you with some broad learning about autism, as well as the opportunity to discuss strategies you can use as a family.
Please note, this session is for parents and carers whose child does not have an autism diagnosis.
We are also developing a collection of resources that you will be able to look through, things like books and sensory tools.
Our workshops are held in small groups in our dedicated training space, The Green Room, which means there is plenty of time for questions and parent and carers have the opportunity to meet other families.
Workshops are hosted by staff from The Compass Partnership, all of whom are from Bolton and have children/young people with additional needs. We are also often supported by a young autistic adult who is currently on a work placement with us.
A range of refreshments are provided.
Booking is compulsory.
