About The Compass Partnership

Established in December 2024, The Compass Partnership brings together two organisations with a strong history of collaboration and working closely to support parents and carers of children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

Bolton Information Advisory Service (previously Parent Partnership) have over 30 years experience providing advice and guidance to Bolton SEND families.

Bolton Parent Carers have been the designated parent carer forum for the Bolton area since 2014, providing a representative voice for parents and carers locally.

Together, under one umbrella, we aim to strengthen our impact and broaden the opportunities we can offer to Bolton families. Our founders, Nan Cooper of Bolton Parent Carers and Cheryl Wyatt of Bolton Information Advisory Service, lead us with a shared passion for improving the support and resources available to SEND families in Bolton.

At The Compass Partnership, we are committed to empowering parents and carers through training, engaging workshops, and ongoing support. Our goal is to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where families can connect, learn, and thrive.

Additionally, coming together as The Compass Partnership allows us to develop new opportunities for professional development. We are excited to offer tailored training and workshops for professionals working with SEND children and families, helping to enhance understanding, skills, and partnership working across Bolton.

Join us as we navigate the path towards better support and brighter futures for all Bolton SEND families.
